So what places are the best diving destinations in Thailand? Richelieu Rock, the submerged pinnacle, is the best single dive site in Thailand. The best diving destination is 90 km south and very near to Phuket which is called the Similan Islands. What is great about these Simlan Islands is that you will find more than twenty wonderful underwater oases with millions of creatures around eight uninhabited islands and lies just a few hours from your luxury hotel. There is also Koh Similar on Thailand’s west coast and is in the Andaman Sea. On the east coast is Koh Tao, and in the Gulf of Thailand, and here there are many more diving tourists than the like of Koh Similan. The latter, however, boasts of better diving.
